These include internally lite,  channel lettering lite, or externally lite signs that can all be powered with a solar lighting kit.  When you look at installation, traditional sign lighting systems can require long runs of electrical wire (from a power source to the light fixture), which often need to be buried (trenched) and re-landscaped over.

Additionally, traditional sign lights with incandescent light bulbs require constant, and often expensive, maintenance throughout their lifetime, as well as the monthly costs of electric to run the light every night. We manufacture the kits with our LED lighting included but if your sign already has LED’s or you are using the manufactures design and LED’s we have a solar sign power unit for you also.

Why engineering is so important in purchasing a solar sign kit?

Example, unless you live in the south west USA you do not get 6 hours of Peak Sun Light in the worst month of the year to recharge the battery in the system like a lot of one size fix’s all systems tell you so you will have issues a short time after installation when you get shorter days. Our kits are designed based on lowest peak sunlight hours by zone, so talking to one of our Engineers will allow you to get the system that is engineered for your location and last for years.

Introduction

There are three main ways to light your sign: externally with flood lights or internally with LED Tubes or LED stripe lights. We have 12V or 24V stripe lights that light both single sided or double-sided signs. Our stripe LED’s either go around the inside edge of the sign to light the whole sign from the edges or it can be attached in a grid pattern to light the sign evenly. The kits are designed based on the wattage of the lights and system’s location so when getting a quote, we need to have the size of the sign (including the depth) and the location of sign for solar production.

Also, if you have drawings, they will be able to help you get the right kit for your sign. Our systems are plug and play kits that come with most everything needed except the pole which you get locally to keep the cost of the system down. Our kits are designed and build to last for years and can be monitored on site through our blue tooth app on your phone.

Installation Tips

  • Make sure your intended location for the solar panel sees no shade between 9 AM and 3 PM.
  • When installing the panel, make sure it is facing solar south. South on Google Maps is solar south.
